Artisan Wines

Tales of Terroir is a retailer of high quality European wines. When winemakers speak of terroir, they mean the interplay of many natural factors, such as microclimate, soil conditions and exposure to the sun. They all influence the natural development of the vines and in this way contribute to the emergence of the typical local wines. We were asked to develop a visual identity that combines modern minimalism with a touch of traditional craftsmanship. We decided on a minimalist logo using the Isidora sans-serif font and developed an elegant brand mark that is a combination of a wine leaf and a glass. We carefully selected a color scheme of natural and sandy tones that best reflected the word „terroir“, reminds of a wine yard and evokes an artisanal feeling. We added a fresh yellow reminiscent of sun-ripened grapes.
We approached to create a branding that reflects the brands elegant, timeless and artisan feel. Using a natural yet sophisticated color palette set against intricate logo details in gold foil, we created a variety of packaging elements that were playful and emphasize the brand`s extraordinary feel. Inspired by the brands rands name "Zana" which means graceful lily, we incorporated this flower as main element to the brand identity.
